The history of satellite:
Satellites first began orbiting in the late 1950’s when Russia launched Sputnik 1, circular in shape and only 23 inches in diameter. It circled the earth once every 96.2 minutes and transmitted atmospheric information by radio. Sputnik 1 broadcast a steady signal of beeps for 21 days until it was destroyed upon reentry into the atmosphere. Since then more then 300 communications satellites have been launched and most are still in orbit. A satellite is essentially a radio-frequency repeater. They receive, amplify and retransmit information back to earth. Since 1964 most communications satellites are geo-stationary, meaning that they keep and orbit over the same spot above the Earth’s equator at an altitude of 22,200 miles.
The history of Constellation Networks Corporation:
Our team is made up of varying individuals who have worked together now for a number of years. We each bring at least 5 years experience, up to 15 years, in the satellite/
telecommunications field. Although relatively newly established, we each have each learned from the rise of the satellite industry in the early 90's as well as felt the harsh fall of the telecommunications industry since 2000. This is a small industry and made up of many transplants as of the latest recession. Our team has pulled together to begin a company owned and run by the employees.
