iDirect VSATs are designed for the location and data requirements of the site. iDirect offers a range of products in the iNFINITI and Evolution series that are suitable for many applications while at the same time reducing the requirement for an additional router by building desired features into the modem. iDirect satellite internet modems use a range of efficient coding and modulation as well as features to reduce latency and overhead.
Today there are two iDirect platforms available, iNFINITI and Evolution each with its own modem series and one that is compatible on both. iNFINITI is a TDMA based shared platform with modems in the 3000, 5000, 7000 and 8000 Series. Each series offers unique features and abilities to be paired with appropriate network requirements.
Evolution is a DVB-S2 based platform with a range up return platform options. This iDirect satellite internet platform has introduced the X series of modems. The X3, X5 and the Evolution 8000.
The iNFINITI 5000 series modem offers additional flexibility by offering the ability to start with cost effective shared service and as business grows it is scalable to allow a dedicated SCPC service by simply adding a second modem to complete the point to point link.
Not to be outdone, the Evolution X5 provides flexibility in allowing operation on either iNFINITI or Evolution platforms.
