It seems like just about everything requires maintenance when you think about it. Your VSAT and LAN are no exception. Your VSAT is a little less demanding then your LAN. Both need regular maintenance to keep them optimally operating. You want to keep the water out of your feed and connections and to keep the rust away. Your LAN is a little more high maintenance and needs daily and weekly care. With just a little time spent keeping the bugs away, the more long term and efficiently your system will operate, not to mention the ability to utilize more bandwidth on your network.
